About

Freenet was created as a service to the end user and a low cost method for businesses to advertise both socially and one to one marketing strategies.  The concept of Freenet includes advertising at the top of each page served inside a web browser as a way of funding broadband at no cost to end clients but without being malicious or “hard to live with” in the way advertising is served to users and their devices.  To date, Freenet has 18 staff members and two offices located in Brisbane, Queensland and Sydney, New South Wales.

Mission Statement

The Internet has taken on many types from ADSL, Wireless Broadband and Fibre. Freenet prides itself on providing free Wireless broadband to the world by using in-house developed technologies that enable large scale “unplugged” Internet access to any user with a WiFI enabled device including personal computers, notebooks, tablets and phones. Freenet is dedicated to changing the world’s perspective on Broadband by enabling free Internet access in all major locations across the globe.

Technology

Freenet understands the limitations of traditional Wifi hardware including services within B, G, N and A type platforms. Freenet’s original technology concepts required engineering solutions to enable users to still connect with traditional Wifi hardware found in smart devices and computers but at the sametime deliver high speed bandwidth capacity and robust connections within high populated locations and non-line of site geographic metro areas.

Advertise

A very new and exciting type of advertising service comes to life through Freenet’s new network. Reach audiences on a 1:1 with specific offers and live campaign management through an easy to use portal designed to deliver content quickly and efficiently. Freenet is also much lower cost then main stream advertising such as Radio and Television but much more effective as audiences are reached directly through devices used day to day both on the move and stationary.
