Wireless Communications Traditional v Freenet
Freenet understands the limitations of traditional Wifi hardware including services within B, G, N and A type platforms. Freenet’s original technology concepts required engineering solutions to enable users to still connect with traditional Wifi hardware found in smart devices and computers but at the sametime deliver high speed bandwidth capacity and robust connections within high populated locations and non-line of site geographic metro areas.
Freenet took on the challenge by incorporating a series of known technologies used in the USA and Japan, bending the rules of the traditional access method radio concepts and producing in house hardware that achieves the performance, security and reliability Freenet required to go to market.
Current Freenet Technology Approaches
CBD Metro Areas - Large scale availability. Speeds of upto 40mbps on common streets and outside zones. Access inside CBD buildings is common.
Street Level Metro - Access zones available at Street Level with speeds of upto 20mbps inside 1km radius from location point. Most common inside Airports and public transport demographics.
Residential Zones - Available in streets within housing and hotel locations.

Compatible Hardware Types
8011B 2.4ghz Wireless Cards – Now an older wireless hardware chipset that enables speeds of an average 11mbps megabits per second.
8011G 2.4ghz Wireless Cards – Faster type productions based on B but enable speeds of an average 54mbps.
8011N 2.4ghz & 5ghz Wireless Cards – Newer evolved G hardware that enables transmission and receiving channels to be split which enables average speeds around 100mbps.
